Chindonya Performs in the Rain
Chindon’ya or Japanese marching bands traditionally perform in front of venues to promote special events. The word Chindon’ya consists of the Japanese sounds chin and don to describe the sound of the instruments played. Kyu-chan, a Chindon’ya for the Chindon Performance Company, attracts tourists in the rain to a performance at the Asakusa Engei Hall, Tokyo on April 20, 2015.
